Renamed clock.cpp/h to event.cpp/h, did some long overdue cleanups to

Small fix to accomodate gcc 4.3.1 moving strcmp() to <cstring> header

Fixed segfaults in DSP & GPU caused by freeing static memory. Ouch\!
