  10   <dfn>Stem exporting</dfn> allows to transfer files between different systems and
  11   softwares by exporting each track individually, including silence, to keep them
  12   in sync. All data will be lost except the actual audio/MIDI.
  13   This is one of the most common methods of interchange because it works between
  14   all DAWs.

  17         The Stem Export window, accessed via the <kbd class="menu">Session &gt;
  18   Export &gt; Stem Export&hellip;</kbd> menu, is very similar to the
  19   <a href="@@export-dialog">Export dialog</a>, except the 'Channels' tab appears
  20   slightly differently: in this case each chosen channel (track or bus) is exported
  21   to its own file, instead of all channels being mixed together into a single file.

  24   The exported tracks or busses can, by checking <kbd class="option">Apply
  25   track/bus processing</kbd>, be exported with the effects/processors applied,
  26   so that the destination system does not need those effects plugins.
