4 <h2>Adding new notes</h2>
7 For light MIDI editing, Internal Edit Mode can be used. This mode allows
8 selecting, copying, moving and deleting notes, and also allows altering
9 notes’ properties. To <em>add</em> notes using the mouse, <kbd
10 class="mouse mod1">Left</kbd>-drag. For more extensive MIDI editing, <kbd
11 class="menu">Draw Mode</kbd> may be preferred. New notes can be added with
12 a click or drag, without having to hold down <kbd class=mod1n></kbd>.
13 However, <kbd class="menu">Draw Mode</kbd> doesn't allow region-level

19 In both modes, a mouse <em>click</em> creates a note at the pointer location
20 (or the nearest grid point if grid is enabled), and its duration is one <a
21 href="@@grid-controls">Grid unit</a>, even if the grid is disabled. A mouse
22 <em>drag</em> creates the note like a click does, but allows continuously
23 setting the duration of the note until the mouse button is released.
