   8 <p>A track or bus can be added to a session in various ways:</p>

  17   Any of these actions will open the Add Track or Bus dialog. Note that any
  18   new tracks from this dialog will appear after the last currently selected
  19   track, or at the end if no track is selected.

  24   <dd>Here you can select the number of tracks or busses you wish to create, and

  28   templates</a></dfn>, which determine the number of input ports and optionally
  29   contain plugins and other mixer strip configuration.

  33   <dd>This option is only available for audio tracks. See <a href="/working-with-tracks/track-types/#trackmodes">Track Modes</a> for details.</dd>

  35   <dd>This option is only available for MIDI tracks and lets you select a
  36   default instrument from the list of available plugins.</dd>

  38   <dd>Tracks and busses can be assigned groups so that a selected range of
  39   operations are applied to all members of a group at the same time (selecting
  40   record enable, or editing, for example). This option lets you assign to an
  41   existing group, or create a new group.</dd>

  45   New tracks appear in both the editor and mixer windows. The editor window
  46   shows the timeline, with any recorded data, and the mixer shows just the
  47   processing elements of the track (its plugins, fader and so on).

  50 <h2>Removing Tracks and Busses</h2>

  53   To <dfn>remove</dfn> tracks and busses, select them, <kbd
  54   class="mouse">right</kbd>-click and choose <kbd
  55   class="menu">Remove</kbd>
  56   from the menu. A warning dialog will pop up, as track removal cannot be undone;
  57   use this option with care!
